There are both positive and negative effects of bonding in families. An issue so sensitive needs to be treaded on carefully. For any family business to grow and flourish, the atmosphere at home and among family members must be cordial and forthright. Given below are a few examples that show how bonding works and how interventions between hostile situations make relations better between the members of the family.

In one business family, two brothers have been fighting over some issues for the last 20+ years. This has not only affected their business, it has had a severe impact on their personal relationship as well. It has gone to such an extent that after resolution of the issues by interventionists and consultants, the brothers decided to go their separate ways in terms of business while forging a cordial relationship back home. So in business, family bonding is important as there is a bright possibility of the business disintegrating otherwise.
